About Rachel Brandeis
REGISTERED DIETITIAN NUTRITIONIST
Rachel is personally fulfilled by the work that she does because she’s able to help her clients make positive and long lasting changes. Rachel loves teaching, and wants to ensure a longer, healthier, and better life for everyone she serves.
Rachel attended Emory University in Atlanta, where she majored in business. While working in advertising and food marketing after graduation, she had the opportunity to collaborate with dietitians who inspired her future. Rachel decided to pursue her passion for food, nutrition, and health and earned her graduate degree in Community Nutrition from Georgia State University.
During her time at GSU, she was a recipient of numerous university academic awards including the Johnnie W. Prothro Academic Excellence Award, the Georgia State University President’s Plaque for Academic Excellence, the Georgia State University Key for Academic Excellence, Georgia State University Faculty Scholar as well as elected to Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities.
After graduation, Rachel spent six years as the dietitian for Northside Hospital’s Weight Reduction Clinic. She also provided individual nutrition consultations, which addressed a variety of medical conditions. While at Northside, Rachel developed a Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) nutrition education program and was very active in Northside Hospital’s Speakers’ Bureau speaking at community events and corporate health fairs. Before opening her private practice, she worked in worksite wellness at The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Rachel is highly regarded in her industry, and was even selected by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as a spokesperson. Her best trait is her enthusiasm. Rachel is never judgmental and treats every client as an individual. She is an unbiased, objective, and compassionate listener. Rachel mentors students in her field to pass that wisdom along.
